Because of the hogs we no longer use spinner type feeders. We've went to trough feeders elevated to about 36" so the hogs can't get in them.

Hunting fast and furious this time of year, hadn't caught up on my journal here. Not much to report. Been bowhunting for the most part. Some of my plots have done real good others I had to reseed and they are coming finally with the rain. Daughter killed a nice buck muzzleloader weekend, and we plan to gun hunt these coming weekends. Here's a few trailcams and a few plot pics.

Yes Sir, Right now it's almost impossible to target one buck, I don't have any good pinch points or funnels. Feeding is everywhere and does are coming in so one could be here today and tomorrow 2 miles over. All one can do is be in the woods and hope for a little luck. Now when the rut slows down and bucks get back on feed, I predict my odds will jump up a little, but still not easy. I'm probably the only land owner with late season plots in a 5 mile radius. One area I will have to see what makes it through the season and the other has a really good chance that most will survive.
