Scattered thunderstorms will affect western Arkansas this afternoon, then spread across the state tonight. These storms are not expected to be severe.
On Tuesday, there will be small chances of severe thunderstorms across the southern half of the state during the afternoon and early evening hours. Large hail and an isolated tornado will be the severe weather threats.
Wednesday afternoon and evening will offer increased chances for severe weather. Over the northern quarter of Arkansas, isolated large hail or damaging winds will be possible. Chances for severe weather will increase the farther south you go in Arkansas, with the southern half of the state having the greatest threat. Large hail and isolated tornadoes will be the main severe weather threats.
From this afternoon through Tuesday night, most places in Arkansas should receive 1/4 to 3/4 inch of rain. There will be some spotty amounts exceeding an inch, especially in southwest Arkansas. Wednesday and Wednesday night, an additional 1/2 to 1 1/4 inches should fall across the state.

There will be small chances of severe weather from late this afternoon through late this evening, primarily over the southeastern quarter of Arkansas. Large hail and an isolated tornado will be the severe weather threats.
On Wednesday, severe weather chances will increase and will encompass the entire state. The time frame will be from late afternoon on through the evening and into the overnight hours. Large hail, damaging winds, and isolated tornadoes will all be possible. I do expect that some severe thunderstorm warnings will be necessary, and there could be a few tornado warnings as well.
Rainfall amounts from tonight through Wednesday night will average 1/4 to 3/4 inch, with perhaps a little less in western Arkansas where thunderstorm coverage will be more spotty. There could be some local totals in the 1 to 1 1/2 inch range, especially in eastern Arkansas.

Storms will enter southwest Arkansas shortly. I expect more thunderstorms development near the western border of the state over the next few hours. After that, storms will begin pushing eastward across the state, and should exit eastern Arkansas between 3 and 6 AM Thursday.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch covers parts of western Arkansas until 5 PM. I think there is a very good chance that the next watch issued for Arkansas will be a Tornado Watch.
Initially, large hail (possible golf ball size or larger), damaging winds, and isolated tornadoes will be the threats. After mid evening, damaging winds will probably be the greatest threat, but there could still be some large hail and isolated tornadoes. Chances for tornadoes should gradually diminish, especially after midnight.
I do expect that we will see quite a few Severe Thunderstorm Warnings issued tonight, and probably some Tornado Warnings as well.
Rainfall amounts with the storms should average 1/4 to 3/4 inch in most places. Some totals of 1 to 1 1/2 inches are possible, especially in eastern Arkansas. Fast movement of the storms will keep rainfall amounts down but will increase the chance of damaging winds.

We will be under a tornado watch till after 2am I sure enough hate storms at night. Can't see anything from the porch (lol at the redneck watching from outside).
Had to make a call to a person around Little Rock at 7p.m. tonight. He said he would had to call back, the storm was just getting there and he had to help settle his wife and mother in law down. So far he has not call. ( 9:15 p.m.) Must had taken out the electric / phone. Hope they are okay. Not even sure what part of Little Rock they are in.
