My old flat bottom sits for months and months at a time now, full of trash and covered in cobwebs.... Never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine seeing anything like that except maybe in somebody else's yard. But age and cold, and hot and wet days have a way of puttin' out the fire in a man's belly whether he know it yet or not... :sob:

I blame it on Arkansas Game and Fish. I use to spend a lot of time chasing hogs with the bow during January and February on public land. I think that has really hurt my deer hunting as well.
I can't blame fishing on the cold. I never mix water and cold.

My trouble is at times my mind still thinks I'm 30, doesn't take my body very long to convince my mind that it was wrong. On the plus side, 63 ain't near as old as I once thought it was. When I was in my teens I'd sit in my Dad's feed mill and listen to all the old loafers talk about people who died. They say old so in so died, such a shame he was so young and they say he was 55, 60, 65 or even 70 and I'd think, what are they talking about, old fart had a long full life and had nothing to live for, it was time to go. Now I'm them. :smack:

:hesaid: That is hitting close to home. Sure wish I had taken better care of myself 40 years ago. I turn 65 this year and the last couple of years I can feel the mileage taking its toll. I get to thinking about doing one thing or the other but never seem to get most of it started. Just hitting the high spots. I just hope I can keep doing that for a good while longer.

I awoke the other day it was 5 degrees. I stayed in, I like my fish fresh not frozen.
