Post #1  Post subject: Everyone Statewide Asked to Report Sick or Dead Deer/Elk

A reminder that G&F is now asking everyone statewide to report any recently dead or sickly looking deer and elk that you observe anywhere in the state. Recently dead includes recent roadkills and any other recently dead deer or elk you come across.

Time is of the essence when it comes to testing animals that are found dead so it's important that you report them just as soon as you can get to a phone.

You can report any you see 24 hours a day by calling G&F @ 800-482-9262 toll free.

For more info on CWD in Arkansas visit the G&F website @: http://www.agfc.com/hunting/Pages/HuntingDeerCWD.aspx

Any dead deer or elk must be reported quickly as decomposition spoils the tissues needed for sampling. As warm as it will be soon only a matter of hours.
