This came as a shock, my all time favorite radio talk show host died. I spent thousands of hours listening to coast to coast, every night I would tune in. Listened to some repeat performances many times, some of my favorites were The Time Traveler, a guy that phoned in saying he was a time traveler. Some of my favorite episodes were the Big Foot shows. Art talked about anything and everything weird. From ChemTrails to Monsters and shadow people. When I moved to little Rock I was disappointed no local outlet carried the Coast To Coast show, almost moved right out again. I listened on the internet radio for awhile, and some shows were archived on the web site, but was never the same as listening live.

PAHRUMP, Nev. (AP) — Art Bell, a radio host best known for a paranormal-themed nightly show syndicated on hundreds of stations in the 1990s, died at his home in southern Nevada, authorities said Saturday.

Nye County Sheriff Sharon Wehrly announced in a Facebook video that Bell died Friday in Pahrump. He was 72. An autopsy will be conducted to determine cause of death, she said.

Bell hosted the popular radio talk show "Coast to Coast AM" before he left the airwaves in 2002. He broadcast the show from his radio station, KNYE, in Pahrump.

The program focused on Bell's conspiracy theories and his fascination with the paranormal and unexplained phenomenon such as UFOs and crop circles. He served as his own producer, engineer and host, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Back in the 90s if you turned your radio on at 3am you would hear Coast to Coast. You could scan while on road and just about every station it stopped at would be coast to coast. Art was great for us nightshift workers. Coast to Coast is still on with a guy named George Nory hosting it. Not real big in Arkansas, maybe the web site lists stations.

I used to listen to Art way back when. He had some crazy shows, and even crazier guests
