And we wonder why or how CWD got here. Louisiana has very few restrictions on that stuff.

So is this like Texas Exotics can be hunted any time and do not need to be tagged or reported ? Do you still need a hunting license to shoot exotics ? you do for hogs, correct ? does any state agency have responsibility for exotics

I would not have had to call. I told my boy last Saturday If a elk wondered by I was getting first shot. He said like that is going to happen. Not a big chance of that happening on the Petit Jean river, but it would be a legal kill. Then he could shoot the next one.

You don't need a hunting license to shoot hogs on private land in Arkansas.

A guy that works with my brother had it on camera a couple weeks ago. He called the AGFC and they told him to shoot it if he saw it, but don't shoot it in the head. I assume they wanted the brain to test for CWD. It did some traveling!

heard a story from a neighbor about somebody shooting a red stag not very far out of town near San Marcos. also had a friend sight one recently at his place near Wimberley. He first thought that his neighbors horse had gotten loose and wandered over to his place. then it raised its head and he saw it wasnt a horse. Ya never know what you will see wandering around central Texas these days. A lot of folks blame the big floods for taking down sections of the high fences.
