Afternoon everyone. Been hunting and fishing my entire life. My passion is duck hunting, but I do most all of it. Last few years I've cut way back, bad knees and other reasons. But I think tomorrow me and Lulu might wet a hook. Maybe I can teach her something!!
Looking forward to visiting with all of y'all!!

Welcome to the Forum LoutreHunter. Maybe you can teach some of the duck hunters around here how to actually kill ducks... :happy0035:

Loutre Bottom is a series of creeks, beaver dams/ponds, and deadenings snaking through south Arkansas and north La. Many of the areas (mostly islands) are almost unaccessible. It's always been said there are creatures in Loutre that no one has ever seen before! Lol. It's also home to the largest cypress tree in south Arkansas.

Lulu lives on the first ridge off the bottoms, but her property extends into the bottom. You should see the size of the turtle shell she found last year while stomping around in the bottoms. Biggest I've ever seen.

But like most places, it's all leased up or privately owned, so there's a relatively small number of people that get to hunt it. There have been some monster bucks killed there. And monster moccasins too!!

That sounds like a good place to hunt. LuLu posted a pic of that Cypress one time if I recall correctly.
